Since I missed the cut at the Samanah Classic in Marrakech, Morocco, I figured I'd take the chance to follow European Tour Player Raphael Jaquelin in the Final Round to compare myself to how he played the course.
Raphael averaged 276 yards off the tee last year and finished 37th on the European Tour Order of Merit.
We were the first group off for our Practice Round for the Samanah Classic in Marrakech, Morocco. Since we were pretty much by ourselves we decided to record some of our swings for fun. Here are a couple of the swings. :-)
A number of people ask to see videos of me practicing...so I thought I'd share one of the videos from where I was doing a drill to help groove my irons for an upcoming tournament series.
I start with 7-iron and hit 5 balls, then do 8-iron, 6-iron, 9-iron,
5-iron, PW, 4-iron, GW, 3-iron, and SW. I don't hit full shots with my
LW. Basically, I'm tracking accuracy, whether or not I hit a shot left,
straight (I give myself about a 5% window of the distance to the target
on either side for it to be straight), or right. The mat is aimed to a
specific target so when troubleshooting, I can eliminate aim as a
possible problem.
