Hi Gang,
I will be writing a few words every now and then about details of the golf swing that may help your swing.
I will also try to keep you up to date as to what I am doing to bring the swing, as I teach it, to the masses. Those of you who have studied my technique are aware of it's easy power and kindness to the body. Tune in to my blog posts now and then as I will be adding new details about the swing, as well as how to use it.
Here is the latest news:
I saw Phil Reed recently, author of the book "In Search of the Greatest Golf Swing. The book was about Mike Austin and included chapters about both Jaacob and myself. I gave Phil and his two sons a quick swing tune up. At the same time, I was also giving a bit of swing help to John Marshall, two-time ALDA Super Senior Long Drive Champion, and we had a fine old get together. They are among my very best friends. Since John M. recently had both knees replaced, we are now able to work on a more powerful lower body move. I look forward to his swing gaining even more power.
We now have a new instructor in Calgary Alberta, Canada. His name is Glenn Weber, age 42, and he is already a fine ball striker and instructor. He is quite athletic and his swing has immense power with good accuracy.
While he was in LA for my teaching accreditation, using a strange to him 3-wood, he was carrying the ball over the fence and out of the range off the mat - much harder to do than off a tee. To do that requires at least a 275-yard carry uphill. No easy feat. Made me jealous as hell, of course, as I am approaching 69 years of age at a high rate of speed.
If you live in Canada or are willing to travel there you will find a very personable and knowledgeable instructor.
I hope that I do not slight my other instructors with this complimentary note. Each and every one is also quite knowledgeable, are fine ball strikers in their own right, and are all fully capable of giving excellent golf instruction.
The new 10 Lesson DVD series is well under way, and I expect to be able to release it early next year. That time frame is also planned for the release of the new picture book.
The new web site design is in the works. I will post when it is on line.
Well that's about it for now, see ya next time.
